This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is built with three to five layers of stainless steel, chosen for its strength and ability to resist corrosion and rebound under pressure. The outer layers are embossed and coated on both sides with a Viton rubber material, which can handle temperatures up to 482°F (250°C) and works well in tough sealing environments and on various surface finishes.
With an 87mm bore and a .066 inch thickness, this gasket is specifically designed for DOHC engines, including the Mitsubishi 4G63T found in Evo 4-8 models, and fits select Nissan Sentra, 200SX, and NX models, as well as Mitsubishi Lancer. The Viton coating helps ensure a solid seal against harsh conditions and varying loads.
