This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is built with multiple embossed layers of stainless steel, featuring a Viton rubber coating on the outer layers. It's designed with an 85mm bore and a compressed operating thickness of 0.040 inches, specifically for non-turbocharged Nissan L23, L24, L24E, and L26 engines. MLS gaskets are a solid choice for sealing aluminum heads to either aluminum or cast iron blocks, as they can handle the shearing forces that arise from dissimilar metals.
