This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is built with multiple embossed stainless steel layers, featuring an outer coating of Viton rubber. The compressed operating thickness is precisely 0.030 inches, and this particular gasket is for the left side of the engine. It's designed to provide maximum sealing performance for high-output VQ30 and VQ35 V6 engines found in a range of Infiniti and Nissan vehicles, like the 350Z, Altima, and Frontier.

MLS gaskets are ideal for joining different block and head materials, such as aluminum heads to cast iron blocks, because they can handle the shearing forces that arise. The multiple stainless steel layers give these gaskets increased strength and the ability to rebound, while also resisting corrosion.
