This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is built with multiple embossed stainless steel layers, featuring an outer coating of Viton rubber. This construction is designed to handle the high output of Pontiac V8 engines like the 400, 428, and 455, providing a strong seal without needing additional sealants. It's suitable for various head and block material combinations, including aluminum to aluminum and aluminum to cast iron, helping to manage the stresses that can occur between different metals.
