This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket starts with multiple embossed layers of stainless steel, giving it increased strength and the ability to rebound and resist corrosion. The outer layers are coated on both sides with Viton, a heat-resistant rubber material that can handle temperatures up to 482°F and works well with various sealing environments and surface finishes.
With a compressed operating thickness of 0.036 inches and a 100mm bore, this gasket is designed for high-output engines and doesn't require any additional sealants. It's suitable for combinations of aluminum heads with aluminum or cast iron blocks, as it can manage the shearing forces that can occur between different metals.
