Cometic Saab B204/B234 .086in MLS Cylinder Head Gasket - 91mm Bore

This Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket from Cometic is built with multiple embossed layers of stainless steel, featuring a Viton rubber coating on the outer layers. This construction is designed to handle the high output of modern engines and provides maximum sealing performance without needing additional sealants. MLS gaskets are well-suited for applications joining aluminum heads to either aluminum or cast iron blocks, as they can withstand the shearing forces that can occur between dissimilar materials.

The strength of these MLS gaskets comes from their layered stainless steel design, which also allows them to rebound and resist corrosion. The outer layers are coated on both sides with Viton, a heat-resistant elastomer capable of handling temperatures up to 482°F (250°C) in demanding sealing environments.
