This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is built with three layers of stainless steel, featuring embossed outer layers coated with Viton rubber. The Viton coating is heat resistant up to 482 degrees Fahrenheit, making it suitable for demanding sealing environments and various surface finishes. This construction is ideal for sealing between aluminum heads and either aluminum or cast iron blocks, as it can handle the shearing forces that can occur between dissimilar metals.
With a compressed operating thickness of 0.040 inches and an 87mm bore, this gasket is specifically designed for the Toyota 2JZ-GE and 2JZ-GTE engines found in vehicles like the Lexus GS300, SC300, IS300, and Toyota Supra.
