This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is built with multiple embossed stainless steel layers, featuring Viton rubber coating on the outer layers. With a compressed operating thickness of 0.060 inches, it's specifically designed for the demands of high-output 2JZ-GE and 2JZ-GTE engines found in vehicles like the 1993-2005 Lexus GS300, 2001-2005 Lexus IS300, 1993-2000 Lexus SC300, and 1993-1998 Toyota Supra.

The multi-layer steel construction offers increased strength and resilience, helping to resist corrosion and maintain sealing integrity. The Viton coating on the outer layers is heat resistant up to 482 degrees Fahrenheit (250 C) and is engineered to handle harsh sealing environments, varied load conditions, and different surface finishes. This makes it suitable for applications with both aluminum heads to aluminum blocks and aluminum heads to cast iron blocks, as it can manage the shearing forces that can occur between dissimilar metals.

Because of its robust construction and advanced sealing materials, this gasket does not require additional sealants, simplifying installation.
