This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is what you get when you need a solid seal for your Volvo B19, B200, or B21 engine. It's designed with a 92mm bore and a thickness of .098 inches, making it a direct fit for specific Volvo models from the mid-70s to mid-80s.
Cometic builds these gaskets using three to five layers of stainless steel. They chose stainless steel because it's strong, resists corrosion, and can rebound well to maintain a tight seal. The outer layers are treated with a special Viton rubber coating on both sides. This coating is heat resistant up to 482°F and helps the gasket handle tough sealing jobs and different surface finishes on your engine block and cylinder head.
