This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is what you get in the box for your VW or Audi 1800/2000cc engine. It's built with multiple layers of stainless steel, featuring an embossed design on the outer layers that's coated with Viton, a heat-resistant rubber material. This gasket is designed to provide a strong seal for high-output engines and is suitable for use with both aluminum heads and aluminum blocks, as well as aluminum heads and cast iron blocks. The center layer is stainless steel, and its thickness can be varied to meet different requirements; in this case, it's set to a compressed operating thickness of 0.140 inches with an 85mm bore diameter.
