It’s a hydraulic flat tappet camshaft, meaning it uses a common and reliable valvetrain design.

This particular camshaft, the 295T H-, has a 242-degree intake duration and 257-degree exhaust duration. COMP Cams specifies that this cam works best with at least 9.5:1 compression, a torque converter with a stall speed of 2800 RPM or higher, and requires supporting modifications like an upgraded intake manifold, rear end gears, and headers to really shine.
