This COMP Cams kit gives you everything you need to get a new camshaft and lifters installed on your Chevrolet Big Block engine. This particular kit features the Nx274H camshaft profile, designed for Nitrous HP applications. It's a hydraulic flat tappet design, meaning it uses hydraulic lifters to maintain zero valve lash automatically, making it a popular choice for street performance builds where you want improved power without the constant adjustment of mechanical lifters. The camshaft specs are 230 degrees of intake duration and 244 degrees of exhaust duration at .050 inch lift, with a .488 inch intake lift and .510 inch exhaust lift. This profile is well-suited for Chevrolet Big Block engines from 396 to 454 cubic inches that originally came with flat tappet camshafts.
