Inside, you'll find the CRS 279T camshaft itself, a set of hydraulic lifters designed to work with it, assembly lube to get everything started right, and decals for your toolbox. This kit is built for high-performance street applications and is known for its distinctive choppy, thumping idle sound.

The Thumpr camshaft profile in this kit is designed to offer improved performance over stock, especially when paired with a higher stall torque converter (around 2000+ RPM) and appropriate rear-end gearing. While it can work with a stock converter, you'll see the best results with those supporting modifications. The camshaft features a 227-degree intake duration and a 241-degree exhaust duration at .050 inch lift, making it a solid option for street use that still provides a noticeable idle chop.

This kit fits a wide range of Chrysler, Dodge, and Plymouth vehicles equipped with the 273, 318, 340, and 360 cubic inch LA engines. Examples include the Dodge Charger, Plymouth Barracuda, and Chrysler Cordoba. Remember that this camshaft is not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
