This is the COMP Cams CS Nostalgia Plus hydraulic flat tappet cam and lifter kit, designed for Chevrolet Gen 1 Small Block engines. It's built to give you that classic L79 cam sound and character, but with an updated power feel that works well in a wide range of vehicles, from classic Camaros and Corvettes to trucks and commercial chassis models.
Inside this kit, you'll find the camshaft itself, a set of matching hydraulic lifters, assembly lube to get everything started right, and decals. The camshaft has a 229/236 duration at .050 inch lift, which is a popular choice for street performance builds that still need to idle smoothly. This kit is a solid option if you're looking to rebuild the top end of your engine and want that distinctive vintage V8 rumble combined with improved performance over stock.
Keep in mind that this kit is intended for engines with flat tappet camshafts. If your engine was built from 1985 or later, it might have a factory roller camshaft, and this kit won't be compatible.
