To get the most out of this camshaft, you'll need to ensure your engine is set up correctly. COMP Cams recommends a minimum of 9.5:1 compression, a 2800+ RPM stall speed torque converter if you have an automatic transmission, and you'll definitely want to pair it with a good intake manifold, headers, and appropriate gearing. This camshaft fits a wide range of Chevrolet vehicles from the 1960s through the 1990s, including popular models like the Chevrolet C10 Pickup, Chevrolet Impala, and Chevrolet Camaro, originally equipped with flat tappet camshafts.

Also, be aware that Chevrolet Big Block engines from 1965-1966 have an oiling groove in the rear journal that requires a specific camshaft design.
