It's optimized for drag racing applications, aiming for performance gains beyond 4500 RPM, and works best with compression ratios of 11.5:1 or higher.

This camshaft features a 270/276 degree intake/exhaust duration and is a solid roller design, which allows for more aggressive valve lift and faster ramp speeds compared to flat tappet cams. For this camshaft to function correctly and maintain its warranty, it's crucial to use a Melanized or Nitrided distributor gear. Using cast iron or steel gears without these surface treatments can lead to premature wear and will void the warranty.

This camshaft fits a wide range of Chevrolet vehicles originally equipped with flat tappet camshafts, including models like the 1967-1975 Chevrolet Bel Air, 1967-1972 Chevrolet Biscayne, and 1968-1974 Chevrolet C10 Pickup.
