This COMP Cams Magnum camshaft is designed for Chevrolet Big Block engines, specifically the 396 to 454 cubic inch displacements. It's a hydraulic flat tappet camshaft intended for applications that see limited street use or are used for bracket racing. To get the most out of this camshaft, it's recommended to have a compression ratio of 10.5:1 or higher, a stall speed of 3500 RPM or more for automatics, or a 4-speed manual transmission. You'll also want to pair it with rear end gears of 4.10 or lower for optimal performance.

This camshaft features a 253-degree intake and 253-degree exhaust duration at .050 inch lift, giving it a radical idle characteristic. The Magnum series from COMP Cams is known for its well-built construction, offering a solid option for performance builds.
