Specifically designed for 454 cubic inch engines, it works best with a 4500+ stall converter and a compression ratio of 11.5:1 or higher. This camshaft is intended for applications where a 4/7 cylinder firing order swap is beneficial for improved exhaust scavenging and overall power output.

This camshaft features a solid flat tappet design, meaning it requires a more robust valvetrain setup compared to hydraulic lifters, including a strong oiling system and proper break-in procedure. The 270/280 degree duration at .050 lift is optimized for aggressive power bands, making it well-suited for the demands of the drag strip.
