This COMP Cams 316RXH-12 roller camshaft is specifically designed for Big Block Chevy engines, featuring a 4 & 7 swap firing order. This updated firing order can help smooth out an engine's power delivery and reduce torsional vibrations, especially in larger displacement V8s. The roller design means less friction compared to flat tappet cams, allowing for more aggressive lobe profiles and improved performance without excessive valvetrain wear.

The CB 47S 316RXH-12 camshaft utilizes a 112-degree lobe separation angle, which contributes to a strong torque curve and good idle characteristics for a performance camshaft. Its duration at .050 inch lift is 230 degrees on the intake and 236 degrees on the exhaust, paired with .574 inches of lift on the intake and .581 inches on the exhaust. These specifications are well-suited for street performance applications where a noticeable power increase is desired, while still maintaining reasonable drivability.
