COMP Cams Camshaft CB 47S 321-R12

This COMP Cams 4/7 Swap Solid Roller Camshaft, part number 11-747-14, is a performance upgrade for Chevrolet Big Block engines, specifically the 396 to 454 cubic inch displacements originally equipped with flat tappet camshafts. You'll receive the camshaft itself, ready for installation into your drag racing or fast bracket car build. This camshaft is designed for engines with good cylinder heads, a compression ratio of 13:1 or higher, a 5000+ RPM stall speed torque converter, and can also handle small nitrous oxide systems.

The 284/296 degree duration at 0.050 inch lift, combined with the 4/7 cylinder firing order swap, helps improve exhaust scavenging and can lead to better power under the curve, especially in high-RPM applications. This is a solid roller camshaft, which requires specific lifters, pushrods, and valve springs designed for solid roller setups to function correctly and reliably. It's built for demanding use where every bit of performance counts.

Please note that this camshaft is not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California. Also, be aware that models from 1965-1966 with a 396 engine may have an oiling groove in the rear journal; this specific camshaft does not fit those particular early models.
