It's built as a hydraulic roller camshaft, which means it uses roller lifters to reduce friction compared to traditional flat tappet designs. This particular camshaft is intended for Chevrolet Big Block engines, specifically the 396 to 454 cubic inch displacements, and is designed to work with engines originally equipped with flat tappet camshafts.

When you install this camshaft, you can expect a notable increase in strong torque throughout the RPM range. The hydraulic roller design contributes to better performance and longevity.
