Product Details

When you order the COMP Cams XR276HR-10 camshaft, you're getting a well-built hydraulic roller camshaft designed to wake up your Chevrolet Big Block engine. This camshaft is specifically intended for 396 to 454 cubic inch engines that originally came with a flat tappet camshaft. It's a popular choice for street machines looking for a noticeable bump in performance without going overboard.

This camshaft features a 224-degree intake duration and a 230-degree exhaust duration, both measured at .050 inch lift. The hydraulic roller design means less friction and more precise valve control compared to older flat tappet designs. For this camshaft to really shine, you'll want to pair it with an upgraded intake manifold, headers, a torque converter with at least a 2000 RPM stall speed, and appropriate rear-end gearing. These components work together to help you get the most out of the improved camshaft profile.

This camshaft fits a wide range of Chevrolet vehicles from the late 1960s through the mid-1970s and even into the early 1980s, including models like the Chevrolet Chevelle, Impala, and C10 Pickup. Please note that this camshaft is not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California. Also, be aware that models from 1965-1966 with an oiling groove in the rear journal require a different camshaft; please contact us if you have one of those specific early engines.
