This COMP Cams XR294HR-10 camshaft features a 242/248 degree intake/exhaust duration with a .572"/.572" lift, utilizing a hydraulic roller design for quicker valve opening and improved area under the lift curve compared to older camshaft profiles. This updated grind is intended to boost performance, offering gains in torque and horsepower, while still maintaining adequate vacuum for essential accessories like power brakes. It's a solid choice for Chevrolet Big Block GEN VI engines, fitting a range of trucks and vans like the 1996-2000 Chevrolet C2500 and GMC K2500 Suburban.

The Xtreme Energy profile is engineered to increase responsiveness and overall performance without significantly sacrificing driveability. While it works well in carbureted setups, you'll see the best results when paired with an aftermarket intake manifold, lower gear ratios, headers, and a free-flowing exhaust system. This camshaft is best suited for serious street/strip applications that have at least 10.5:1 compression and a torque converter with a 3000+ RPM stall speed. Achieving its full potential will also require good intake flow and ported cylinder heads.
