If you're building a serious drag racing engine for a Chrysler 383, 400, 413, 426 Wedge, or 440, this COMP Cams CRB3 Rx316-R8 solid roller camshaft is designed to help you achieve top performance. This camshaft is specifically tuned for applications like Super Gas or Super Comp classes, where every bit of power and responsiveness counts. It’s built around a 3-bolt camshaft design, ensuring a solid connection and reliable operation within the Chrysler B and RB engine families.

This camshaft works best when paired with a high-compression setup, ideally around 12.5:1, and ported iron or aftermarket cylinder heads. For optimal performance with this grind, a torque converter with a 5500+ RPM stall speed is recommended, especially in a 440 cubic inch engine. Because it's a solid roller design, you'll need to upgrade your distributor gear to a compatible material, typically bronze, to prevent premature wear. This setup is geared towards maximizing power in the upper RPM range, making it a strong choice for dedicated drag race builds.
