This COMP Cams Xtreme Energy camshaft is designed for serious street and strip applications, specifically for Chrysler 273, 318, 340, and 360 LA engines. It features a quicker valve opening profile that increases responsiveness and provides more area under the lift curve compared to older camshaft designs. This updated grind family is built to increase torque and horsepower without sacrificing driveability or essential creature comforts like adequate vacuum for power brakes and other accessories.

The Xtreme Energy 244/252 camshaft offers notable performance gains, especially when paired with aftermarket intake manifolds, lower gear ratios, headers, and a free-flowing exhaust system. For optimal results, it requires at least 10:1 compression, a single-plane intake manifold, and a 3000 RPM stall torque converter.
