This COMP Cams camshaft is a solid flat tappet design intended for Chrysler 273, 318, 340, and 360 cubic inch LA engines. It's built for drag racing and oval track applications, aiming to improve low-end and mid-range torque. This cam is a good choice for a short track setup on a 340 or 360 engine, and it will allow the 340 to achieve higher RPMs.
For optimal performance with this camshaft, it requires a minimum of 10:1 compression and a 4-barrel carburetor. If you're running a 360 engine, a 3500+ stall torque converter is recommended, while a 3800+ stall converter is suggested for a 340. A single plane intake manifold is also needed to complement the cam's design. This camshaft is not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
