When you're looking to get more out of your Chevrolet Small Block Gen 1 engine, this COMP Cams Magnum series camshaft is a solid choice. You'll receive the camshaft itself, ready to be installed. This particular grind, the CS 270S-10, is designed to offer noticeable performance gains over stock, especially in the higher RPM range, without putting excessive stress on your valve train components. It's a popular option for engines that have been rebuilt with higher compression ratios, typically 9.5:1 or more, and it pairs well with aftermarket torque converters that stall around 2000 RPM or higher, as well as lower gear ratios.

This camshaft is streetable and can work with a stock torque converter, though you'll see its best performance with an aftermarket unit. It's built to deliver excellent high RPM power while being mindful of your valve train parts, making it a good fit for performance engines using mild ratio rocker arms and traditional performance valve springs. It's important to note that this camshaft is designed for flat tappet engines. If your 1985 or newer Small Block Chevrolet has a factory roller camshaft, this part will not be compatible.
