Product Details

With a maximum area of 244 degrees on the intake and 252 degrees on the exhaust, this COMP Cams camshaft is built for performance in late model stock applications. It’s designed to work well with high rocker ratios, making it a solid choice for dirt tracks or asphalt racing where a half-mile or more is common.

This camshaft is a flat tappet design, intended for Chevrolet Gen 1 Small Block engines. It fits a wide range of displacements, from the 262 all the way up to the 400 cubic inch engines. However, it's important to verify your specific engine setup. This camshaft is not compatible with LT1/LT4 engines or factory roller small blocks from 1985 and newer, as GM gradually transitioned to roller camshafts during that period. You'll need to check your engine's intake or timing cover to confirm if it uses a flat tappet or roller setup. It also does not fit any LS-based engines.

For 1955-1957 Chevrolet 265 engines, a specific oiling groove on the fifth cam journal is required. If you're unsure about your engine's configuration, it's always best to consult the manufacturer's detailed fitment information or a trusted mechanic to ensure proper compatibility before installation.
