This camshaft utilizes a flat tappet design, making it suitable for blocks that do not have factory roller provisions. It's important to verify your engine's configuration, as GM transitioned to roller camshafts in the mid-80s. For specific early models like the 1955-1957 Chevrolet 265, a rear journal oiling groove is required, and this particular part number does not include it; please contact us if your application needs this feature.
