It's specifically tuned for oval track racing, particularly on 1/4 to 3/8 mile tracks with tighter corners where consistent power delivery is key. This camshaft fits a wide range of Chevrolet Small Block engines, including popular displacements like the 350, 400, and 327, across many vehicle makes and models from the 1980s and early 1990s, such as Chevrolet Caprice, Buick Roadmaster, and Cadillac Fleetwood models.

The CS 292A-R6 camshaft features a 256-degree intake duration and 258-degree exhaust duration, with a .900-inch lift. This profile is optimized for the demands of oval track racing, aiming for strong mid-range torque and responsiveness needed for navigating tight turns. It's crucial to note that this camshaft is optimized for use with a Melanized or Nitrided distributor gear.
