This COMP Cams hydraulic roller camshaft features a 4-pattern design with intake duration of 241 degrees and exhaust duration of 251 degrees at 0.050 inch lift. This specific lobe profile is engineered to optimize valve events across the entire RPM range, increasing the area under the curve and promoting high RPM stability. It's a solid choice for street/strip applications when paired with good cylinder heads and raised compression, particularly in high RPM engines that will see a 3200+ stall torque converter.

For this camshaft to perform as intended and maintain warranty, it's crucial to use a melanized or nitrided distributor gear. Using a standard cast iron or steel gear without this surface treatment is not compatible and will void the warranty. This camshaft is designed for retro-fit hydraulic roller lifters and requires upgraded valve train components and aftermarket cylinder heads to achieve its full potential. It fits a wide range of Chevrolet Gen 1 Small Block engines from 262 to 400 cubic inches, including popular models like the Camaro, Corvette, and C10 trucks from 1958 through 2002, provided they are not factory roller blocks from 1985 onward.
