This particular grind is an Oval Track camshaft, featuring a 268/272 degree duration split, making it well-suited for larger displacement engines (430+ c.i.) used in Late Model racing on slick tracks.

The CS 296BR-6 utilizes a .900 inch diameter lifter, which is a key specification for solid roller setups. It's built for engines that have a flat tappet camshaft from the factory. It's important to note that this camshaft is not compatible with factory roller small blocks built from 1985 and newer, nor is it for LS-based engines.
