COMP Cams is well-known for its performance camshafts and valvetrain components. This Oval Track CS 296C-R6OT camshaft is built for Chevrolet Small Block engines, specifically designed to deliver high torque. It's optimized for use with a Melanized or Nitrided distributor gear, which is crucial for proper function and to maintain warranty coverage. Using cast or steel gears without these surface treatments is not compatible and will void your warranty.

This camshaft features a 264/268 degree duration split and is intended for use with a 1.6 or 1.65 intake rocker arm ratio. It fits a wide range of Chevrolet GEN 1 Small Blocks, including popular displacements like the 350, 400, and 327. However, it's important to note that this camshaft does not fit LT1/LT4 engines or factory roller small blocks from 1985 and newer. Some 1955-1957 models require a specific oiling groove on the rear journal, so if you have one of those early engines, please contact us to ensure you get the correct part.
