This COMP Cams CS 300A-R6 solid roller camshaft is designed for puller/mud race, oval track, and late model applications, particularly for Chevrolet Small Block engines. It's a popular choice for engines over 406 cubic inches, and also works well with 377-406 cubic inch setups using a carburetor or injectors, assuming an 11:1 compression ratio. This camshaft is optimized for use with a Melanized or Nitrided distributor gear; using cast or steel gears without similar surface treatments will void all warranties and return policies.

The CS 300A-R6 features a 264/266 degree duration profile, making it a strong performer for demanding racing environments. It fits a wide range of Chevrolet GEN 1 Small Blocks, including popular displacements like the 350, 400, and 327. However, it's important to note that this camshaft does not fit LT1/LT4 engines or factory roller Small Blocks from 1985 and newer, as GM gradually introduced roller camshafts into production vehicles.
