Product Details

COMP Cams is well-known for its performance camshafts, and this CS 306LHR-7 solid roller camshaft is built for drag racing applications on Chevrolet Small Block engines. This camshaft features a 274 degrees of duration on the intake and 284 degrees on the exhaust, with a .050 inch lift duration of 230 degrees intake and 238 degrees exhaust, and a .477 inch intake lift and .480 inch exhaust lift. It’s designed to work with a Melanized or Nitrided distributor gear, and using cast or steel gears without these surface treatments will void the warranty.

This camshaft fits a wide range of Chevrolet GEN 1 Small Blocks, including popular displacements like the 350, 400, and 327. It's important to verify your engine's configuration, as this camshaft is not compatible with factory roller camshafts found in many 1985 and newer Small Blocks, nor is it for LT1/LT4 or LS-based engines. Early 1955-1957 models may also require a specific oiling groove on the rear journal, so checking your block is recommended. This part is optimized for serious performance builds and requires careful attention to distributor gear compatibility to ensure proper function and warranty coverage.
