COMP Cams Camshaft CS Nostalgia 30-30H+

This is the COMP Cams CS Nostalgia 30-30H+ Hydraulic Flat Tappet Camshaft, part number 12-672-4. It's designed for a wide range of Chevrolet Small Block engines, from 262 to 400 cubic inches, built between 1958 and 2002, offering a way to capture the sound of classic muscle cars from the '60s and '70s while boosting performance. This camshaft is a solid option if you're looking to give your classic Chevy a more aggressive exhaust note and improved power delivery.

COMP Cams applied modern design techniques to mimic the sound of older engines, like the GM 30-30 cam, but with a noticeable increase in performance. The lobe profiles are a bit less aggressive than their Xtreme Energy cams, but they still provide excellent area under the curve for strong, usable power. This camshaft works well with either a carburetor or a tunable fuel injection setup. It's important to note that this cam is intended for engines with flat tappet lifters; if your engine was built from 1985 or newer and has provisions for roller lifters, you'll need to confirm your block's setup before installation.

When installing this camshaft, remember that it's designed for hydraulic flat tappet lifters. If you're working on a 1955-1957 Chevrolet engine, ensure the 5th cam journal has the necessary groove for oiling, or contact COMP Cams for a custom order.
