This CS XS290S-10 solid flat tappet camshaft is built for Chevrolet Small Block engines, fitting a wide range of models from the 1980s and early 1990s, including vehicles like the Chevrolet Caprice, Buick Roadmaster, and Chevrolet C1500. It’s designed for a pro street or bracket racing application, meaning it works best when paired with a good intake manifold, headers, and appropriate gearing, along with a stall converter of 3300 RPM or higher.

This camshaft features a 252-degree intake duration and a 260-degree exhaust duration at .050 inch lift. The solid flat tappet design means it requires a robust valvetrain and careful setup, but it can offer excellent performance potential. It’s important to verify your engine’s configuration, as this camshaft does not fit factory roller small blocks from 1985 and newer, nor does it fit LS-based engines. Early 1955-1957 models also require a specific oiling groove on the rear journal that this particular part number does not include.
