With a 243/257 degree intake/exhaust duration, this cam is designed to work best with a minimum of 9.5:1 compression. To really let this cam breathe and perform, you'll need to pair it with a strong intake system, appropriate gearing, and headers. It also requires a torque converter with at least a 2800 RPM stall speed to keep the engine in its power band, especially at lower speeds. Expect a very rough idle, which is a signature characteristic of these high-performance cams and signals serious power potential.
