COMP Cams Camshaft FW 290Rf-HR10

This COMP Cams camshaft features a 230 degree intake and 230 degree exhaust duration at .050 inch lift, making it a solid choice for street machines and limited high-performance street use. It's designed to work well with Ford Small Block engines that originally used the older firing order, as well as 351 Windsor engines with their specific firing order. When you're building a street-focused machine, the camshaft is one of the most critical pieces for dictating how the engine breathes and performs across the RPM range.

For optimal results with this camshaft, COMP Cams recommends pairing it with a 4-speed transmission or a torque converter with at least a 2800 RPM stall speed. Crucially, you'll want to run rear-end gears in the 3.40 to 4.10 range to keep the engine in its power band. An aftermarket intake manifold and headers are also advised to help the engine efficiently take in air and expel exhaust, allowing this camshaft to really do its job. This combination helps to unlock improved throttle response and a noticeable increase in power for your street build.
