The A8 305H camshaft is a Magnum hydraulic flat tappet grind, meaning it's built for performance with a radical idle sound. COMP Cams recommends this for Pro Street builds or mild bracket racing applications. To get the most out of it, they suggest pairing it with a 3500+ RPM stall torque converter, around 10.5:1 compression, and a 4.10 gear ratio or lower (numerically higher). This combination will help you take full advantage of the camshaft's improved airflow and powerband.
