This kit is designed for performance builds, particularly for the 440 cubic inch engine, and works well with a 3500 RPM stall converter and a compression ratio of 10.5:1 or higher, requiring an 800-850 CFM carburetor. If you're using this on a 383 engine, you'll want a higher stall converter, around 4000 RPM.
