COMP Cams Camshaft Kit CS 260H-R10

This is the COMP Cams CS 260H-R10 Hydraulic Roller Cam Kit, part number K12-410-8. It's designed for Chevrolet Small Block Gen 1 engines, offering a good balance of mileage and a smooth idle, making it suitable for applications like vans, pickups, and towing. This kit is intended for use with stock rear gear ratios and torque converters.

This kit is a comprehensive package, including the camshaft, lifters, valve springs, retainers, valve locks, valve stem seals, and a timing chain set. It also comes with assembly lube for flat tappet applications, decals, and detailed instructions to help you through the installation process. The hydraulic roller design helps reduce friction and wear compared to traditional flat tappet systems, contributing to improved performance and longevity.

It's important to verify your engine's configuration before installation. This kit fits many Chevrolet Small Block Gen 1 engines, including displacements from 262 to 400 cubic inches. However, it does not fit LT1/LT4 engines or factory roller Small Blocks from 1985 and newer, as GM gradually introduced roller camshafts into production vehicles. You may need to remove the intake or timing cover to confirm if your block is factory roller or flat tappet. It also does not fit any LS-based engines.
