COMP Cams Camshaft Kit CS 292H

This COMP Cams CS 292H camshaft kit is built around a hydraulic flat tappet camshaft with a 244 degrees duration on both the intake and exhaust sides. This aggressive profile is designed for Magnum/Drag Race applications and street machines looking for a significant performance bump. It’s important to note that this camshaft requires a 2500+ stall torque converter, headers, and appropriate rear-end gearing to perform optimally, and it will produce a rough idle characteristic of a performance camshaft.

This K-Kit comes complete with everything you need to swap out your old camshaft and associated valvetrain components. Inside the box, you’ll find the camshaft itself, lifters, valve springs, retainers, valve locks, valve stem seals, a timing chain set, and assembly lube specifically for flat tappet applications. You’ll also get decals and instructions to guide you through the installation process. This kit is intended for Chevrolet Gen 1 Small Block engines, covering displacements from 262ci up to 400ci. It is crucial to verify your engine uses a flat tappet camshaft, as many later model Small Blocks (from 1985 onward) were equipped with factory roller camshafts, which are not compatible with this kit.

This kit fits a wide range of Chevrolet Gen 1 Small Block engines found in vehicles like the Chevrolet Camaro, Corvette, Caprice, and C10 trucks, as well as many other GM vehicles. Before purchasing, confirm your engine is a flat tappet design by removing the intake manifold or timing cover.
