This kit is intended for street/strip applications and is designed to work with a 3000+ RPM stall torque converter, a 3.90 gear ratio, and aftermarket intake and headers, and it will produce a very rough idle.

For 1955-1957 Chevrolet 265 engines, a specific oiling groove modification may be needed on the 5th cam journal.
