COMP Cams Camshaft Kit FW 281H-R10

This COMP Cams K-Kit uses a hydraulic roller camshaft with a 220 degrees of intake and exhaust duration at .050 inch lift. It's designed for street machines, offering its best power gains above 3500 RPM while still providing good torque. You can expect a mild, rough idle with this setup. It's considered the largest camshaft that can be used with stock Ford 5.0L heads and intake manifolds, making it a popular choice for those looking to boost performance without extensive modifications.

The K-Kit, part number K35-440-8, is a complete package to get your engine rebuilt. It includes the camshaft itself, hydraulic roller lifters, valve springs, retainers, valve locks, and valve stem seals. To ensure proper installation and longevity, the kit also comes with a timing chain set, assembly lube, and decals. A 2000+ RPM stall torque converter is recommended to take full advantage of this camshaft's powerband, especially in street machine applications.

This kit is specifically verified to fit the 1985 Ford LTD, as well as the 1985 Ford Mustang and 1985 Mercury Capri.
