These COMP Cams High Energy hydraulic lifters are built for Ford 2300cc 4-cylinder engines. They feature a patented orifice metering valve that precisely controls oil flow to the rocker arms, preventing excessive oiling at high RPMs. This design maintains continuous contact between the metering valve and the pushrod seat, ensuring consistent operation across the engine's speed range.

The pushrod seat is constructed from a heat-treated powdered metal iron alloy for added strength and wear resistance. COMP Cams also incorporated a longer piston than conventional lifters, which increases the load-bearing surface area and contributes to longer lifter life.
