Product Details
With a .060" thickness and made from hardened steel, this ID spring locator is built to handle the high RPM and extreme spring pressures found in today's performance engines. It's designed to protect both the cylinder head and the valve spring shim from damage. This locator features an inboard shoulder that precisely centers the seat and keeps the valve spring securely in place, preventing movement during operation.
Unlike older designs that required extensive cylinder head machining, COMP Cams' ID locator has the retaining shoulder on the inside. This makes installation simpler and ensures the spring is held correctly. The 4860 model has a 1.655" outer diameter and a .570" inner diameter, fitting specific valve spring setups.
