If you're rebuilding a performance engine that will see high RPMs and extreme spring pressures, standard shims might not hold up. COMP Cams offers these ID Spring Seats as a well-built solution to protect your cylinder heads and keep your valve springs properly located.
These seats are made from a hardened steel alloy, designed to withstand the forces found in racing applications. Unlike older styles that required significant head machining, these feature an inside diameter (I.D.) locator with the locating shoulder on the inside, fitting directly into the spring cup. This design helps hold the spring securely in place, preventing movement and ensuring consistent valve train operation under demanding conditions. The set includes 100 seats, each measuring 1.550 inches in outside diameter, 0.570 inches in inside diameter, and 0.060 inches thick.
