If you're working on an AMC V8 engine originally equipped with flat tappet cams, these retro-fit hydraulic roller lifters are designed to help you get more out of your build. They allow you to run more aggressive cam profiles while also decreasing friction compared to traditional flat tappet lifters.
These lifters feature a precise piston fit, which helps achieve the lowest possible leakdown rate. They also have a patent-pending piston design that lets trapped air escape, leading to faster "pump up" when the engine starts. The axles are made from 52100 steel that's been heat-treated for increased wear resistance and overall strength, and the lifter bodies are lightweight.
