If you're working on a Chevy Small Block Gen I, Gen II LT, or any GM LS series engine, these COMP Cams Reduced Travel Hydraulic Roller Lifters are a solid option. They're designed to work with OEM-style roller cam provisions found in '87 and newer blocks, as well as many aftermarket blocks. These lifters are built to give you the best of both worlds: the quick recovery from valve train harmonics that a light pre-load offers, and the increased stiffness that comes from reduced oil volume under the plunger, which happens with a heavy pre-load.
